Great Western Valve, Inc., Acquires LISCO, Inc. (Lorraine Instrument Supply Company) in Richwood, Tx.
Company expands its service and repair capabilities in Brazoria County and the Texas mid-coast
HOUSTON, JANUARY 28, 2026 – Great Western Valve, Inc., an industrial service company specializing in repair, remanufacturing, and field services for control, pipeline, and relief valves as well as instruments, positioners, and actuators, is pleased to announce the acquisition of LISCO, Inc. Great Western Valve has operated a service center in Clute, Tx. for 20 years and LISCO has been in business for 65 years. The two service centers will immediately integrate into LISCO’s Richwood service center, establishing the strongest technical capabilities and experience levels in the mid-coast market. This combination will further enhance Great Western Valve’s exceptional customer service and quality workmanship that customers have relied upon for years.
The acquisition was a stock purchase and LISCO, Inc. has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Western Valve. As such, LISCO, Inc. continues to operate and its contracts, vendor numbers, and plant approvals remain in place. Further, all current LISCO operations personnel and sales representatives will remain with Great Western Valve so customers will not experience any disruption in service.
“As I planned for retirement, I prioritized on our people and passionately sought a partner who would keep our business intact, grow upon it, and provide stability for our employees and customers,” said Robert Lorraine Sr., LISCO President. “I met with Great Western Valve over 10 years ago, watched them operate and grow for many years, and knew they would be a great fit to continue LISCO’s legacy.” Eric Reed, Sebby Solis, and Sam Miller will continue to lead operations at its Richwood service center and will report to Kevin Bubien, General Manager – Pasadena, Texas City, Clute and now Richwood service centers.
LISCO and Great Western Valve both have multiple National Board VR (NBVR) authorizations including VR, TO, and field. LISCO’s Richwood service center broadens the company’s capabilities in the local market—adding control valve, gate, globe, and check repairs, as well as regulators, instruments, gauges, actuators, gear boxes and other accessories with expanded machining and repairs. LISCO also adds another boiler to the company with Section 1 and Section 8 NBVR steam service. Great Western Valve currently operates from eight Texas-based service centers with unparalleled service and repair capabilities. All service centers support each other to ensure resources and comprehensive services and solutions are delivered to their customers.
“LISCO has operated a solid business with strong customer relationships for many years,” said Jim Reilly, Great Western Valve, Inc. President & CEO. “Our Clute business has grown rapidly over the last few years, and we look forward to combining our personnel and assets to even better serve our customers. We also wish Robert the very best in retirement.”
