HOUSTON – January 20, 2014 - Great Western Valve, Inc., an industrial service company specializing in repair, remanufacturing, and field services for control, pipeline, and relief valves as well as instruments, positioners, and actuators, announced today it has acquired Lonestar Actuation, Inc. (Lonestar).  Lonestar will continue servicing all existing customers and will begin bundling its services with Great Western Valve’s repair and remanufacturing.  Bob Hamilton will continue to serve as President of Lonestar and manage the business.

Lonestar Actuation, Inc. provides the Texas market with repair and remanufacturing services for a wide range of electric actuators including Limitorque, EIM, Rotork, Auma, Biffi, and others.  Lonestar Actuation, Inc. services the Houston, Texas City, Galveston, Daingerfield, Mt. Pleasant, East Texas, and South Texas markets.  The company also provides field services and parts sales to customers in the power generation, pipeline, chemical, refining, and manufacturing industries.  Lonestar’s extensive inventory of parts and actuators also includes obsolete units and parts which allows the company to repair older models and extend the life of its customers’ existing assets.

“We are delighted to join the Great Western Valve team and expand our services with their large customer base,” said Bob Hamilton, President of Lonestar Actuation, Inc. “Great Western Valve continues to grow its business centered on exceptional customer service and rapid response times.  This philosophy fits perfectly with the company we have built.”

“Bob Hamilton and his managers have assembled an excellent team that is highly regarded for its customer service, solutions, and cost-effective aftermarket repairs and remanufactured actuators,” said Jim Reilly, Great Western Valve, Inc. President and CEO. “Their services align perfectly with our core business of repaired and remanufactured valves and combining our expertise allows us to further expand our valve and actuator services.”

Valve control services are growing rapidly as customers seek to have better remote controls on their quarter-turn, multi-turn, gate, and expanding gate valves to improve operating efficiencies and reduce costs.  Industrial customers who are deploying these systems are also looking to keep them maintained and running longer.  Lonestar has an extensive parts and surplus inventory for all types of actuators, allowing the company to quickly respond to customer requests and reduce costs compared to buying new actuators and parts.  Great Western Valve continues to respond to its customers’ requirements by bringing more value-added services under one umbrella.
