Company COVID-19 Precautions & Screening Policy

1. Purpose
 
1.1 The following written Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Precautions & Screening Policy has been established for Great Western Valve, Inc. to protect our employees and limit the spread of COVID-19 to the best of our ability. The health and well-being of our employees is of utmost importance. This policy has been implemented to help protect our employees from the Coronavirus.
 
 
2. Scope
 
2.1 This written Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Policy will apply to all Great Western Valve, Inc. employees and employees of subcontractors. This program is considered the minimum requirements and if conflicts arise between customer/client programs or applicable regulatory requirements, the most stringent will apply.
 
 
3. Definitions
 
3.1. The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new respiratory virus first identified in Wuhan, China. The virus can cause illness ranging from mild to severe and in some cases can be fatal.
 
3.2. Symptoms of COVID-19 typically include: fever, cough and shortness of breath. However, some people infected have experienced no symptoms, referred to asymptomatic cases.
 
3.3. According to the CDC symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in individuals from 2 to 14 days after exposure.
 
3.4. COVID-19 can be spread mainly by coming in close contact with another person infected (6-feet) and through respiratory droplets produced from an infected person’s coughs or sneezes.
 
3.5. It may be possible to become infected after touching a contaminated surface and then ones mouth, eyes and nose.
 
 
4. Current Safety Precautions
 
4.1. Frequent and thorough hand washing will be required for all employees, visitors and customers.
 
4.2. 60% Alcohol-based hand sanitizer should be used in an absence of soap and water.
 
4.3. Everyone will be encouraged to follow proper coughing or sneezing etiquette which includes using tissue and their elbow.
 
4.4. All employees are encouraged and asked to self asses and report immediately if they are experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19. All employees are required to personally taking their temperature before reporting to their work shift.
 
4.5. Managers will be required to inquire with employees for any possible risk.
 
4.6. Employees experiencing flu-like symptoms, including: fevers, coughs, shortness of breath will be required to stay home.
 
4.7. “Social Distancing” (keeping ample personal space between employees, refraining from shaking hands, etc.) is encouraged.
 
4.8. Employees will be discouraged from using other employees’ phones, work stations, or tools. In case of emergency, employees will be required to sanitize before and after use.
 
4.9. Regular housekeeping practices, including routine cleaning, disinfecting of surfaces, equipment, and other work objects, will remain in place. Manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and disinfecting (e.g., concentration, application method, contact time, PPE) will be followed.
 
4.10. Flexible work practices such as “work from home” is available for all employees who are eligible to do so.
 
4.11. Employees who have traveled outside of the US, or highly affected areas, will be required to stay home.
 
Our employees’ current risk of exposure and safety are continuously being assessed. If new controls to prevent infection are selected and implemented, all employees will be required to use them immediately. We are regularly communicating with employees and will continue to do so to provide the most accurate and critical information.
 
We will continue to monitor public health communications about COVID-19 using official communication sites for the virus. In the event of a policy update, we will inform all appropriate parties.
