RWI Construction’s valve services assets

Company to hire all valve services personnel and assume Odessa, Texas valve shop

HOUSTON – April, 22, 2015 – Great Western Valve, Inc., a Houston-based industrial valve company specializing in repair, remanufacturing, and field services for control, pipeline and relief valves as well as instruments, positioners and actuators, is pleased to announce it has reached a definitive agreement to purchase the valve services assets of RWI Construction, Inc. (RWI).  The asset sale is expected to close tomorrow Thursday, April 23, 2015 and take effect at the close of business this Friday, April 24, 2015.

“RWI is pleased to have such a reputable and high quality company take over valve operations,” said Jeff Chick, RWI Construction, Inc. CEO. “As RWI continues to sharpen our strategy and focus on providing drilling and production field services, it was clear the valve operation was a perfect fit for Great Western.”  With this agreement, customers will not have any lapse or interruption in service.  All of RWI’s valve services trucks, trailers, tooling and equipment are being purchased by Great Western Valve and all employees are expected to be immediately hired by the Company.  “We want to make sure all customers continue to receive the same, or better, service they have become accustomed to,” said Jim Reilly, Great Western Valve, Inc. President and CEO.  “We are very impressed with the personnel, equipment, and customers the team has developed and we are committed to growing the business to better service customers in the area.”

Sergio Cervantes will become the General Manager for Great Western Valve’s Odessa, Texas office and Keith Pyron will be the Operations Manager.  Each have over 30 years of experience in the valve services industry and have long standing customer relationships.  As such, both will also manage customer service and sales. “We are delighted to have teamed up with Great Western Valve,” said Sergio Cervantes.  “They specialize in valve services and have extensive offerings and capabilities that will certainly help us in the Permian Basin.” 

Great Western Valve operates from eight east Texas facilities concentrated in the Gulf Coast and a northeast Texas location.  The Company will integrate its new Odessa, Texas operations into its valve services division and will provide support from its Houston, Texas corporate office and other operating locations.
